                    Ouch! (again)

A CNG-powered (compressed natural gas) Istanbul city bus
carrying 26 police and officials to the "One Voice Against
Terrorism" meeting yesterday at Yenikapı, Istanbul, tried to
pass under a railroad bridge, where another CNG-powered bus
had gotten stuck and exploded on 22 June (!),

This time, the 26 police and other officials being transported
to the meeting were injured, one seriously, when the CNG
compartment atop the bus exploded from being squashed
under the bridge.

For some reason, this bus diver, unlike his counterparts who
were taking others to the meeting, decided to used Namık
Kemal avenue. At the underpass there are signs on either side
warning that the maximum height is 2.80 meters. In any event,
when the compressed gas in one of the tanks on top of the bus
was squashed it exploded.

At least he'll have a warm bed tonight, unlike the real refugees.

Hayrullah İncekara (40), who is wanted for assault and battery
in Yozgat, tried to mix in with the crowd of Syrian refugees
trying to cross the Turkish-Greek border at Edirne. Thanks to
polic alertness, though, İncekara, who was not carrying an ID
card, was identified by his fingerprints. İncekara was taken
straight to Edirne Prison.
